don’t you just love the rain? well, i do.

that’s one thing i miss about boarding in up diliman. when it rained, i used to put on a raincoat and walk around the campus. i couldn’t do one round of jogging around the acad oval to save my life but i could do 3 rounds or more of walking in the rain.

it’s therapeutic, i guess. just you with the wind in your hair and the rain pouring down from the sky and the road before you. there’s no need for deep thought. your mind can stay blank or you can start analyzing everything that’s right or wrong with your life.

sometimes it’s nice to just stop and feel the breeze and the rain on your face. i love the smell of rain. it’s so clean, so refreshing.

i don’t know what it is about the rain that has me so entranced. maybe it’s the sheer abandon of it all that rain represents. maybe it’s the call of letting go and just getting wet for the heck of it. maybe it’s the presence of God in every raindrop that falls. i just know that rain, at least for me, is beautiful.

Let the rain kiss you.  Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops.  Let the rain sing you a lullaby.  ~Langston Hughes

Weather is a great metaphor for life – sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad, and there’s nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella.  ~Pepper Giardino

The best thing one can do when it’s raining is to let it rain.  ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.  ~Roger Miller

There’s always a period of curious fear between the first sweet-smelling breeze and the time when the rain comes cracking down.  ~Don Delillo
